What is the Data Exchange?
The Data Exchange is a new program performance reporting solution developed by the Department of Social Services (DSS) in consultation with service providers and clients. It was developed to better collect and use administrative data to improve the wellbeing of people and families in our communities.
The name ‘Data Exchange’ reflects the two-way partnership of information sharing between Government agencies and service providers, enabling both to find smarter and more efficient ways of improving service delivery, and overall outcomes, for individuals, families and their communities.
Government Agencies using the Data Exchange are:
- Commonwealth Department of Social Services (DSS)
- Commonwealth Attorney Generals Department
- Commonwealth Department of Health
- many state and territory governments who directly deliver the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
You will find essential information on the Data Exchange, including “Notifications”, “Latest Updates” and “Top 5 Resources”, along with a brand new animated video.
With a simple click from the Data Exchange website, you can log in to the web-based portal, subscribe to receive notifications or contact DSS for assistance or provide feedback.
You can also access information and guidance for Data Exchange users, including general information, policy guidance, technical access information, training resources or self-service reports.
