The Program provides $20 million for projects that contribute to improved drought and climate resilience for farmers through innovative, evidence-based trials to support adoption and transformational change. Eligible applicants can apply for between $2 million and $5 million for the 4-year program.
The Future Drought Fund Drought Resilience Hubs program will run over 6 years from 2026–27. The grant opportunity will select providers to establish 7 Drought Resilience Hubs across Australia.
The Farm Business Transition Program Round 2 will assist sheep producers impacted by the phase out of live sheep exports by sea by providing grant funding to obtain advice and/or make changes to their business operations.

The CEWH Environmental Activities grant provides funding for environmental activities projects that aim to restore or improve the health of rivers, floodplains and wetlands in the Murray-Darling Basin. Environmental activities projects are funded by the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder.
Forestry Industry - Support Plantation Establishment Round 3 - Batches 1 to 6

The Multicultural Grassroots Initiatives grant opportunity will provide funding to community-led grassroots organisations that embrace Australia’s multicultural diversity and help multicultural communities to become an active part of Australia’s economic and social development.
The Australian Government committed to support up to 30 community-led justice reinvestment initiatives. Since the Program opened in September 2023, 26 initiatives having now been selected. Given the Program is close to being fully subscribed, the decision has been taken to close this round.
Future Drought Fund Long-term Trials of Drought Resilient Farming Practices Program Round 2

The Program provides $40.3 million for projects that contribute to improved drought and climate resilience for farmers through innovative, evidence-based trials to support adoption and transformational change. Eligible applicants can apply for $3 million up to $8 million for the 6-year program.
These grants will allocate up to $40m (GST exclusive) over 6 years to 2029–30 for new projects between $2m to $6m. Projects will demonstrate practices, technologies or approaches to improve landscape function and ecosystem services, manage natural resources, and build drought and climate resilience.
