Australian Heritage Grants Program - Round 9 (2026–27)
Round 9 (2026–27) of the Australian Heritage Grants program will soon open for applications.
The program supports the protection and promotion of Australia’s National Heritage and World Heritage listed places, including First Nations cultural heritage values at listed places.
A priority for Round 9 is to improve First Nations engagement with the program, consistent with the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.
In Round 9, grants between $25,000 and $400,000 are available for up to 3 years for activities that strengthen the recognition, protection, management of and public engagement with the heritage values of listed places.
Heritage place owners and managers, Traditional Owners, First Nations organisations, community groups and other eligible stakeholders associated with National and World Heritage listed places are encouraged to apply.
First Nations-led projects that demonstrate genuine partnership and co-design with First Nations organisations and communities are encouraged.
