Forestry Industry Support Plantation Establishment Round 4
The Australian Government, through its $300 million Forestry Growth Fund is inviting organisations via a demand driven process to apply to deliver a grant under Forestry Industry Support Plantation Establishment Round 4.
Under the program, additional grant funding will be available over 3 years from 2026–27 to 2028–29. Grant activities must be completed by 30 June 2029.
Round 4 is expected to open in November 2026. Round 4 continues supporting the establishment of new long-rotation softwood and hardwood plantation forests and assists the sector to respond to the projected growth in demand for domestically sourced timber resources. The program requires grantees to establish a new long-rotation plantation forest in Australia of at least 20 hectares, and the intended outcome is to increase domestic timber supply, particularly construction and manufacturing timber resources, and to contribute to Australia’s carbon emissions reduction commitments.
Grant Opportunity Guidelines and supporting documents will be published on GrantConnect when the grant opportunity opens for applications.
