Volunteer Grants Activity - 2021 Volunteer Grants

Volunteer Grants form part of the government’s work to support volunteers, as well as to encourage and increase participation in volunteering. The grants provide small amounts of money that organisations and community groups can use to help their volunteers.

Biosecurity Business Grants program

The program will provide up to $880,000 (GST inclusive) per year for 3 years (from 2020-21 to 2022-23) to support Indigenous businesses to develop business opportunities relating to biosecurity in northern Australia and the Torres Strait.

National Action Plan to Combat Modern Slavery 2020-25 Grant Program - Round One

This grant opportunity aims to support delivery of community-based projects that prevent and combat modern slavery in Australia through advancing actions under the National Action Plan to Combat Modern Slavery 2020–25.

Supporting Veteran Owned Business

This program will provide a grant to an organisation with an aim to deliver innovative programs to support veterans and their families who want to establish their own business as part of their transition process to civilian life.

Murray–Darling Healthy Rivers Program – Small Grants (Round 1)

The Murray–Darling Healthy Rivers Program funds community-led, on-ground projects that improve the health and ecological condition of rivers and wetlands in the Murray–Darling Basin, whilst supporting economic development and jobs.

Murray-Darling Basin Economic Development Program (Round 3)

The Australian Government is inviting applications through an open competitive process to deliver projects under the Murray-Darling Basin Economic Development Program (Round 3) in eligible Murray-Darling Basin communities.

The objective of the program is to assist eligible communities to undertake economic development projects to respond to the impact of water recovery activities under the Murray-Darling Basin Plan.

Building Excellence in Support and Training (BEST)

The Australian Government is inviting applications through a targeted non-competitive process to deliver services under the Building Excellence in Support and Training (BEST) program.

The BEST program links closely to the Advocacy Training and Development Program (ATDP), which provides the essential skills for claims, advocacy and welfare work.

Microcredentials Marketplace

This project is to establish the Microcredentials Marketplace (the Marketplace) that will be a nationally consistent platform for students to compare short courses and credit point value. 

Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program

The Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program aims to preserve Australia’s wartime heritage and to involve people around the country in a range of projects and activities that highlight the service and sacrifice of Australia’s service personnel in wars, conflicts and peace operations.

Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Program Management

The IPS Program Management grant opportunity will select an organisation to perform a program manager role to provide an overarching process of ensuring all headspace centres are delivering quality and consistent services under the IPS program.
