The Australian Government is inviting 2 organisations via a closed non-competitive process to apply to deliver services under the Justice Services Program – Enhance and expand legal assistance services for victims and survivors of child sexual abuse from 2021–22 to 2024–25. The Australian Government is providing up to $16.086 million over 4 years for this grant opportunity.

This program will form part of the Commonwealth’s Action Plan to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse 2021–2024, which will support the implementation of the National Strategy to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse 2021–2030.

For this grant opportunity funding will be provided under 2 streams:

Stream 1: Providing quality legal advice to victims and survivors of child sexual abuse outside the institutional context. The objective is to provide high quality, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive legal advice for victims and survivors of child sexual abuse outside the institutional context about their legal options. The service would operate nationally and support a trauma informed response to child sexual abuse after it occurs.

Stream 2: Providing a national online chat service for children and youth experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, harm - including sexual abuse. The objective is to establish and maintain a national legal online chat service to deliver trauma-informed support and legal information, advice and referrals to children and youth experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, harm, including sexual abuse.
