The CaPS services provide early intervention and prevention support to children and their families. These services help improve the development and wellbeing of children aged 0–12 years (but may include children up to 18 years and their families) and supporting the capacity of those in a parenting role through activities such as community and supported playgroups, school readiness programs, parenting courses, home visiting, counselling, adjunct care and peer support groups.
Services seek to identify issues such as risk of neglect or abuse within families and provide interventions or appropriate referral(s) before these issues escalate.
National Action Plan to Combat Modern Slavery 2020 to 2025 Round 2

This grant aims to support and fund activities to actively prevent and combat all forms of modern slavery in Australia. In Australia, modern slavery refers to a range of serious exploitative practices, including trafficking in persons, slavery, slavery-like practices (eg forced labour, servitude, debt bondage, forced marriage) and the worst forms of child labour.
Funding for this grant opportunity will be provided under 2 streams:
• Stream 1: Combating Modern Slavery
• Stream 2: Research.
The Safety Net Service activity seeks to improve the wellbeing of Australian families, particularly those with children, who are separating or separated. The Safety Net Service will assist people in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) family law court environment by training a network of volunteers to provide non-legal support, information and referrals.
